A FAMILY BUSINESS WITH AN INDUSTRY IMPACT
Maxim entrepreneurship reaches back to the 1920s with a modest grocery store in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. That American spirit traveled generations to become Maxim Family Enterprises and has impacted the entire automotive industry.
In 1982, Jim Maxim Sr. founded Maxim Automotive. He lead a team to work with dealers developing tailored aftermarket solutions and forming the proprietary consulting & training program called Profit By Design. Working within an organization’s culture, the Profit By Design system developed custom processes and objectives. This collaboratively created sustainable success throughout the front-end of dealerships in PA, NJ, DE, NY and beyond.

In 2004, Jim Maxim Sr. & Jim Maxim Jr. formed MaximTrak, a technology company dedicated to digitizing F&I processes. Using the traditional wisdom of in-dealer experience, blended with cutting-edge technologies, MaximTrak was first-to-market with several leading products. These products included interactive eMenu, comprehensive reporting, electronic contracting and the game-changing, touch-tech buying experience called MaximTrak FLITE.
In 2016, MaximTrak was acquired by Route One LLC and was deployed in 5,500 dealerships and 14 OEMs exclusively. MaximTrak has been said to be “instrumental in setting the stage for modern transaction experiences for dealers”.

In 2019, Profit By Design rebranded as DealerMax to represent the expanded scope of services that offer dealers access to the growing network best-in-class providers that fit the needs of each dealer, seasoned specialists who know the business, and an elite leadership team, many of whom have been with the Maxims for decades. Additionally DealerMax launched the Partner Development Program to rapidly grow new markets.

100 years later, the Maxim legacy of innovative solutions lives on in major companies like Harley Davidson, Ford, Nissan, Enterprise, and dealerships throughout the US and Canada.
