The outer layers of the Door Edge Guards are covered in clear coat paint so they will match the luster of the vehicle’s paint.
 

The Door Edge Guards are meant to be a permanent installation but, with a little effort, can be removed without harming the paint.
 

The Door Edge Guards allow the paint under them to fade at the same rate as the surrounding painted areas. This means that if they are removed at a later date you will see no difference in the two area’s color.

The custom cut door edge guards come in a standard 27” length. On doors that are shorter than 27 the excess is removed during installation. 
 

The Door Edge Guards can be stretched up to 30% of their length without affecting their strength. This allows us to install on longer doors by stretching them a little during installation. You always want to do the stretching in the middle of the door, not the beginning or the end.
 

3M paint protection film is a self-healing product. When the Door Edge Guard or door cup gets scuffed, all you need to do is rub with isopropyl alcohol to bring back the luster.
